ANS-As a five-year old, Bismillah Khan played gilli- danda near a pond in the ancient estate of Dumraon in Bihar.
3. Who did Narcissus fall in love with?
ANS- Narcissus fell in love with his own image.
4. Who had cursed Narcissus?
ANS- One of the women who had been treated. brutally by Narcissus cursed him.
5. How does deforestation in Nepal affect India ?
ANS- Deforestation in Nepal affects India. As the trees of Nepal are cut down, its topsoil is gradually being lost and its rains are likelier to cause devastating floods in India.

11. Write a paragraph in about 100 words on Behind the success of a man, there is always a woman’.
ANS- veryone is aware of the popular adage, “Behind every successful man there is a woman.” Well I would like to say exactly the opposite, “Behind every successful woman there is a man” That man could be anyone, father, husband, son,I very clearly remember, early in our courtship days when I asked my fiance, “I too would like to work, will you alloHe was as good as his word. The very fact that today I am a Vice-President of one of the leading corporations in the world is proof of that. During my career I have come across many women who started their careers promisingly but soon dropped out. The two most common reasons being marriage and children. One more reason closely following both the above is transfer of spouse. In our male dominated society more often than not it is the woman who has to “sacrifice” at each and every step.acted like a catalyst in her life. Yes, there are exceptions where women have risen to the very top on their own merits, against all odds. Kudos to them! But what I want to emphasize here is that at some crucial stage in life a helping hand is needed by everyone to cross one seemingly insurmountable hurdle. That hand could be of a family member or even a stranger. Would it not be wonderful if that My hubby at the advent of the twenty-first century had said “This century is the century for women.” I want so desperately to prove him right!
13. Imagine yourself as young Bismillah and write in 10 lines about your attachment to Benaras (Varanasi ).
ANS- Vanarasi is situated in two rivers—Varuna+ Asi. Asi is on the bank of great river Ganga. This is on of the ancient cities of the world which is called the cultural capital of India. Bismillah Khan is a small child moved to the city of his maternal uncle. He started learning shehnai under the guidance of his maternal uncle who loved him very much. He got so attached to the city that no allurement could move him out of the city. He developed as a great musician in this city and Khan shaheb was known through Varanasi and Varanasi was known for so many things including Bismillah Khan Shehnai’s.
